Add movement to your garden with this tall and elegant plant. One of few native plants with whorled leaves, the stems of Culver's Root seem to piece through multiple consecutive crowns of lance-shaped leaves. Long slender spikes of tiny, lilac-colored flowers emerge in mid-summer and bend and curve in the warm breeze. Grow this long-lived perennial in plenty of moisture or average soil and sunlight and enjoy the sturdy, showy display for (many) years to come.
