Named for the legendary nursery woman and native plant enthusiast, this selection of Coastal Doghobble is as steadfast and remarkable as its namesake lady. This versatile, compact, evergreen shrub features dark green, leathery leaves on gracefully arching branches. New leaves emerge in spring, tinged with red, followed by profuse displays of fragrant, white, bell-shaped flowers. As winter beckons, the evergreen leaves fade to deep burgundy, maintaining the rich hues until spring returns and the leaves regain their verdant color.
