While most plants flower sometime from spring through early fall, Ozark Witch Hazel breaks tradition and decides to shine in late winter. Luckily for gardeners, this slight breach of etiquette is a warm welcome in the cold months of the year. In late February through early March, 'Kohankie Red' Ozark Witch Hazel delights with masses of small flowers with maroon twisted petals that lighten to a rust color at their tips. In an otherwise color-stricken time of year, this Ozark Witch Hazel provides a perfect pop as we say goodbye to winter and hello to spring.
