Eastern Red Cedars are among our most versatile and valuable trees at Stoneleigh and 'Burkii' is one of our favorite selections. Despite the terminology, not all "evergreens" are green - some can change colors through the season, like this spectacular specimen. In summer, 'Burkii' displays lovely blue-green foliage along its upturned, elegant branches, but come winter, the foliage becomes imbued with plum, adding unusual color to the winter landscape. Add to that the profusion of small, blue, berry-like cones, and 'Burkii' is a winter garden winner - for you and the birds!
