This sensational selection of Smooth Hydrangea was found by Rick Ray, a former horticulture professor at Delaware Valley College. Now, we know what you're thinking...but 'Haas Halo' was actually named for Joan Haas, who is not related to Stoneleigh's Haas family. All the same, we can't help but think the name has a wonderful ring to it. 'Haas Halo' performs best in part shade where its massive 12" - 14" lace cap flowers are often completely swarmed by pollinators. This is not only one of the finest smooth hydrangeas we grow in the garden, but one of the best native shrubs period.
