Coneflowers are familiar workhorse plants of the summer garden, but the unique blooms of 'Henry Eilers' Sweet Coneflower truly set it apart from other coneflowers. Originally found by namesake nurseryman Henry Eilers in a remnant prairie alongside an Illinois railroad track, the yellow flowers of this selection have rolled petals that resemble thin quills surrounding a brown center disk. Its fragrant leaves are gray green with a downy underside growing on upright stems and its tall stature make this plant perfect for the back of a garden border. You can even bring the outside in by adding these stunning blooms to a bud vase or larger arrangement.
