Did you know that Eastern White Pine is a pollinator powerhouse? The foliage supports the caterpillars of over 200 species of butterflies and moths! But what if you can’t fit a 100-foot tree in your garden? Well, you can still give those caterpillars what they’re looking for with dwarf selections like ‘Bennett’s Contorted.’ With a stake to keep it upright, it will grow to around 20 feet, but we recommend you leave it be, allowing its twisting branches to achieve an interesting, nearly sculptural form. The thin, blue-green needles add softness in every season, making this a great evergreen for winter interest in small spaces.
This is an uncommon and slow-growing selection.
