This robust bloomer is an eyecatcher in the garden. From June to mid-October, masses of yellow flowers with bright red-orange centers (or hearts) dance atop dark, purple-tinged foliage. This red-stemmed cultivar does not self-sow as readily as the straight species and grows in a tidier habit - especially when “Chelsea chopped” in mid to late May. This plant has high deer, rabbit, and salt tolerance, making it a great choice for even the toughest gardens.
