Witch Alder is a timeless and easy choice for your garden. ‘Mount Airy’ is a cross discovered at the Mt. Airy Arboretum in Cinncinnati, Ohio and has since become an essential native shrub. It tolerates a wide range of conditions and with its compact stature and elegant natural form, it needs little pruning or maintenance. Creamy white bottlebrush flowers in spring support early season pollinators and have a light fragrance. In fall, the leaves flaunt an array of color from gold, to orange, and burgundy.

Conditions: Full sun to part shade; average, moist soil

Size: 5’-6' tall, 5'-6' spread

Zone: 5 - 8

Wildlife Value: Flowers attractive to early season pollinators
