In perfect accordance with its name, 'Vivid' is a deep, vibrant pink selection of the beloved and striking Obedient Plant, with a sturdier, shorter stature. But while vivid may suit this selection's color, obedient doesn't quite suit this plant's habit. Like other members of the mint family, Obedient Plant tends to enthusiastically spread its wings (well...roots) in ideal conditions, creating masses of brilliant floral displays. It is an excellent choice if you are looking for a beautiful plant to fill a larger space, especially in moist soil. So why is it called obedient plant? The individual flowers can be shifted from side to side on the stem and they'll stay put!
