You'll be howling for Antennaria howellii! This amazing groundcover forms dense mats of silvery-sage, narrow-leafed foliage. It’s happiest sunbathing on the front of the border and bed edges. Known as Small Pussytoes, its antennae-like flower spikes rise up to 14” inches, lifting clusters of buds that resemble kitten paws. The buds open into soft, fuzzy white flowers that sway in the breeze. Semi-evergreen and great for rock gardens and xeriscaping.

Conditions: Full sun; dry, well-draining soil
Size: Up to 14” with flowers
Zone: 3 -8
Wildlife Value: Flowers support small bees; larval host for American Lady Butterfly
