Maidenhair Fern is a fern of fairy tales, its distinct and dainty appearance seemingly crafted by magic for the enjoyment of fantastical woodland creatures. One of the most easily recognized ferns of our region, everything about this fern is delicate, from its its wiry dark-colored stems, to its fan shaped leaves whose pinnae radiate out in all directions and seem to float on air. This fern looks great in combination with just about anything, from bluebells to trilliums, even fairy houses.
