When it comes to coarse texture in the garden, there are few plants that can compare with Large Coneflower. Sure, the term "large" could refer to the tall upright stems topped with delightfully architectural blooms, but there's no doubt that the most dramatic element of this prairie plant is its enormous basal leaves. Bluish and smooth, paddle-like and clumping, these larger-than-life leaves lend drastic contrast to any garden, while the flowers and seeds feed our beloved bee, butterfly, and bird friends.
