Viburnums are among the most beneficial plants for wildlife, and Mapleleaf Viburnum is no exception. With its creamy white flowers that attract pollinators of every kind and its nutrient-rich, dark blackish berries that birds relish, this plant is beautiful and beneficial. Most spectacular of all though may be its uniquely brilliant fall color, which can shine like a beacon of magenta in the forest understory. Tolerant of various soil types and maintaining a fairly small footprint (for viburnums, that is), this uncommonly offered species is a must-have for the conscientious gardener.
